Mould bases to Korea, Molds to USA
In November 2024, a long-term South Korean client specifically visited our facility for a technical exchange. The customer placed orders for 7 sets of mold bases to us, with the matching molds to be shipped to the United States – requiring exceptionally stringent standards.
The client emphasized critical aspects including quality, surface finish, material hardness, delivery timeline, machining processes, and components specifications. Additionally, they requested advance shipment of the hot runner systems for all 7 sets to conduct pre-processing in Korea. Key requirements were as follows:
1.Datum points for Cav/Core plates from the bottom upward.
2. Stop pins must conform to 5mm thickness (+0~+0.02mm tolerance).
3. Surface treatment must be clean, no tool marks allowed.
4.Five-axis machining is the highest priority – quality must be strictly ensured.
5. Ejector guide bushing holes must be smooth (no burrs/sticking).
6. Cooling wells require flat bottoms, drilling marks are unacceptable.
7. O-ring grooves: Depth 0mm to -0.03mm, depths must be consistent with no tool transition marks.
Ultimately, all 7 mould bases were delivered on schedule meeting all specifications.
