- Cleaning & Rust Prevention
- Remove oil residue, plastic debris, and dust after each shift.
- Wipe with anhydrous ethanol or specialized mold cleaner, then apply anti-rust oil (e.g., WD-40).
- Focus on rust-prone parts: guide pillars, bushings, and ejector pins.
- Lubrication
- Daily: Apply high-temperature grease (e.g., Molykote EM-30L) to guide pillars/bushings.
- Weekly: Lubricate ejector systems with silicone-based grease to prevent plastic adhesion.
2. Periodic Inspections
- Monthly Checks
- Plate Flatness: Use precision straightedge; grind if deviation exceeds 0.05mm/300mm.
- Wear of Guides: Replace if clearance exceeds 0.03mm.
- Bolts: Retighten to specified torque (e.g., 20-25N·m for M12 bolts).
- Annual Overhaul
- Disassemble mold base, clean cooling channels with descaling agent (e.g., 10% citric acid).
- Replace worn springs, seals, or deformed components.
3. Operational Guidelines
- Avoid Overloading: Clamping force must not exceed the mold base’s rated capacity.
- Temperature Control: Preheat to 80-120°C (material-dependent) to minimize thermal stress.
- Storage: Keep in dry conditions (<60% humidity), store vertically with dust covers.
4. Troubleshooting
- Rust: Light rust – polish with 800-grit sandpaper; severe cases – return for refurbishment.
- Jamming: Stop immediately; check lubrication and plate alignment before resuming.
